COVENTRY are the surprise name in the thick of the Championship promotion race but they have been fully deserving of their 33-point tally and can pick up another three against faltering West Brom this afternoon.

If the second-tier league table was determined by budgets, Coventry would be involved in a relegation scrap instead of a promotion battle.
