Rhys may lack public support

By Matthew Ireland

Strictly Come Dancing BBC1, 6.40pm

IT’S quarter-final time in the Strictly ballroom with only a handful of dances now standing between the five remaining couples and the Glitterball Trophy.

BBC Breakfast presenter Dan Walker once again heads the betting to be the next celebrity given the boot after he exceeded all expectations with his rumba last week.

It’s likely to be a toss up between Walker and CBBC’s Rhys Stevenson as to who makes the semi-final as the other three celebrities seem certain to be involved in the final such is their quality and consistent high-scoring.

The vastly-reduced field makes the viewers’ vote even more crucial. Walker’s job as a breakfast TV host probably gives him an advantage over Stevenson as he is the better known of the pair and the likelier to get enough votes to avoid the dance-off even if he is bottom of the judges’ scores.

BEST BET

Rhys Stevenson to be eliminated 1pt 6-4 Paddy Power
