Dettori’s Group 1 brace brilliant to see

IT WAS brilliant to see Frankie Dettori win the Oaks and Coronation Cup on Friday. He’s still a genius in the saddle and he’s bowing out as the champion that he always has been.

Frankie has not ridden many horses for me over the years I’ve not had many good enough for him!

But I remember him winning a Group 2 race at Capannelle in Italy on Stormy Antarctic back in 2019 and that was a great day. He’s a legend and will be missed when he’s gone.

You have to give plenty of credit to John and Thady Gosden too - although the jockey got most of the attention last week, they’ve done an amazing job with Soul Sister and Emily Upjohn.
