CATHAL GAHAN
1. Masar
2. Crystal Ocean 3. Lah Ti Dar
I would look to give Masar, who has been off the track for 385 days, as soft an introduction as possible and this race fits the bill. As a Derby winner the trip isn’t a concern and Crystal Ocean would be his chief rival. The Sir Micheal Stoute-trained colt is high-class but would I rank him as a genuine Group 1-contender? Probably not. Lah Ti Dar is a smart filly who is bred to improve with age and any ease in the ground would favour her.
