JACK HAYNES
1. Blue Point 2. Battaash
3. Mabs Cross
The Charlie Appleby-trained Blue Point loves this straight track and can land back-to-back runnings. Successful on three of his four starts at Ascot, Blue Point was well in command when landing this race last year and was a cosy winner of the Al Quoz Sprint at Meydan in March. Last year’s runner-up Battaash impressed on his return in the Temple Stakes and can once again prove the main danger, while the likeable Mabs Cross can run a big race.
‘On raw ability Battaash edges it but he’s twice acted up and been beaten at Ascot’
