Sire Du Berlais is a dual Pertemps winner and clocked a quicker time last year than the winner of the Stayers’ Hurdle, despite carrying more weight. He was impressive in a Grade 2 first time out this season and can be forgiven his below-par run over Christmas. Paisley Park’s lazy style of racing is perfect for this race, but I do worry that he sometimes finds a bit of trouble in running. He got away with it at Ascot, but he might not here.
