Owners Cheveley Park Stud have won this race for the last two years and it will be no surprise if they did so again with Sir Gerhard. He was an impressive winner on both starts under rules, with jockey Jamie Codd saying he expects the gelding to be a better horse on good spring ground. The main threat should come from Kilcruit, who produced a stunning performance to win the Grade 2 Future Stars bumper at Leopardstown.
