RYAN McCUE

Betfair

At the current prices I’d have to side with Honeysuckle. Constitution Hill was obviously wildly impressive in the Supreme but I feel the gap between them now in the Champion Hurdle market is too big so for that reason I’ll take Honeysuckle.

With A Plus Tard still only eight, he’s the one they all have to beat. The

Gold Cup is such a different test to anything else, and the fact A Plus Tard has proven himself in the race more than once means it will take a fair performance from any of his rivals to take his crown.

It’s hard to look past

When Shishkin beat him at Ascot it was his first big test even though he was already a dual Grade 1 winner. He looks to have improved in his two runs since.

If The Nice Guy stays over hurdles he would look ideal for the race. He is proven over the trip and looks the type who keeps a bit for himself, which is what you need for a race like the Stayers’ Hurdle.

THE BIG JUMP OFF
