True Odds

Value hunting

The Premier League returns this weekend and our True Odds figures hint at a trio of tasty top-flight wagers.

We’ll start at Villa Park, where hosts Aston Villa look a little too short to see off Leicester according to our numbers.

The Foxes endured a testing start to the Premier League season and a lack of transfer activity has left manager Brendan Rodgers frustrated.

However, Leicester have made moves in this window with winger Tete arriving from Shakhtar until the end of the season and Denmark international full-back Victor Kristiansen making the switch from Copenhagen. Rodgers may make a few more additions on deadline day which should beef up his squad further.

Leicester have taken only one point from five games since the resumption but there were positive signs in their 2-2 draw at home to Brighton last time out.

Villa are improving under new boss Unai Emery, but their progress may have been factored too heavily into the prices as the Villans are even-money to claim victory yet our figures make them 7-4 shots.

Brentford continue to impress and our figures make them shorter than the 10-11 on offer to beat Southampton on Saturday.

The Bees have lost just one of their last 11 matches, beating Liverpool and Manchester City in that run, and it’s hard to see the Saints stopping them.

Nathan Jones’s men snapped a run of six straight league defeats with victory at Everton in their last league game, but they are still in the thick of a relegation battle.

Our figures make Brentford shorter than 3-4 to add another three points in what has been another impressive season for

Thomas Frank’s men.

Liverpool are 10-11 to replicate their recent FA Cup success at Wolves in the Premier League this weekend but we make them 8-11 shots to oblige.

The Reds’ struggles have been well documented, but Jurgen Klopp still has a squad packed full of talent.

They certainly have more attacking weapons at their disposal than Wolves, who have scored only five goals in their last seven matches and have mustered just three shots on target in their last two matches.

According to our numbers the Reds should be backed to take all three points at Molineux.
