Confident Lazio can prosper

Serie A football punters may have to be patient this weekend as the best two betting opportunities in Italy appear to be on Monday.

Napoli are well clear at the top but it looks like being a furious fight for the Champions League places this year and third-placed Lazio should boost their claims with a victory at Verona.

The leaders are the only team to have conceded fewer goals than the Eagles’ tally of 16 and

Lazio are unbeaten in their last four matches, a run that included a 4-0 success over Milan.

The Rome outfit have also won five of their last seven on the road, all without conceding, so confidence should not be a problem.

Verona, meanwhile, have won their last two home games against Lecce and bottom-of-the-table Cremonese, but this is a much tougher fixture.

Monza have recovered from a tough start to Serie A life and are unbeaten in six after a 2-0 win over Juventus.

They should have too much for struggling Sampdoria, who have failed to score in eight of their last nine outings.
