Glory will be with Skelton after Bocker’s handicap run

WETHERBY

Dan Skelton could send a strong team to this meeting with fancied runners in all seven races, and

KNICKERBOCKERGLORY

(3.23) is one to pay close attention to.

The seven-year-old ended last season with a couple of novice hurdles wins and has arguably run even better in two chases since a summer break.

Only last week’s winner No Risk Des Flos got past when he attempted to make all in November and he can run off a 4lb lower mark back in this discipline.

Rafferty’s Return is the biggest danger. He loves this track and was a winner here on Boxing Day for Rebecca Menzies.

PASSING REFLECTION

(2.10) is an interesting contender in the mares’ novice hurdle.

Alan King’s five-year-old is from a useful family and made an encouraging start to her hurdles career at Doncaster recently, closing into second from off the pace.

She pulled quite hard in the early stages and has more to offer when she learns to settle properly.

JETOILE (1.35) hasn’t won since December 2021 but he has been getting

better with practice over fences and was only beaten a length by the frontrunning Wheelbahri at Kelso last time out.

Ryan Potter’s gelding finished miles clear of the also-rans and this longer trip can help him get back to winning ways.
