WEDNESDAY EXETER

The five-year-old BROADWAY BOY (3.55) can see off his ten older rivals in the first 2m7f handicap hurdle.

He was runner-up in his first two hurdles at around 2m4f but enjoyed stepping up in trip for his handicap debut at Aintree in December, where he stayed on strongly to beat Brandy McQueen. He possesses plenty of stamina and this stiffer track can help him overcome a slight drop in trip.

SACRE COEUR (4.30) gets the nod in the second division. Plenty went wrong on her comeback at Uttoxeter in December, where she made a few mistakes and suffered trouble, but a win at Haydock 24 days later was a much better effort.

Despite odds of 20-1, Jonjo O’Neill’s mare came from off the pace to beat Apple Away. The narrow winning margin means the handicapper has been unable to overreact.

JUDEX LEFOU (2.45) is now 0-25 elsewhere but Tim Vaughan’s gelding showed a liking for this track last February, when he won the corresponding contest by 13 lengths.

A second at Ludlow in December was his best effort since then and he wouldn’t need much more to double his account.
