More to come from Stuttgart

Tayfun Korkut has replaced Pal Dardai as Hertha Berlin manager for the remainder of the season but the capital club’s new boss is unlikely to have an immediate impact when they face Stuttgart on Sunday.

Beleaguered Hertha are on a four-game winless run in the Bundesliga and they are hovering above the relegation zone.

And although Stuttgart are in a similar position to this weekend’s visitors, they have shown recently that there may be better things to come.

They got the better of Mainz at home last time out, and prior to that they were five minutes away from earning an impressive 1-1 draw with Borussia Dortmund the week before only for Marco Reus to score the winner in that contest.

Hoffenheim moved themselves to within two points of the Champions League qualification places with their frenetic 6-3 win over Greuther Furth last time out and they look a solid bet to build on that at home to Eintracht Frankfurt.

That was Hoffenheim’s fourth victory in five assignments in all competitions – with the club having also beaten Leipzig as part of that run – while Frankfurt have won only four league games all season.
