Chacun to land Tingle Creek on his return

CHACUN POUR SOI

can make the most of Shishkin’s absence to win the Tingle Creek at Sandown on Saturday.

The nine-year-old was a disappointing third in the Champion Chase last season behind Put The Kettle On, but made up for it with a stellar performance at Punchestown in April.

On that occasion he beat Allaho easily in a Grade 1, and more prominent tactics seemed to serve him very well.

He goes well fresh – he’s won first time back in every season that he’s raced – and he is the one they all have to beat.

At Clonmel on Thursday Noel Meade has an interesting candidate for the opening maiden hurdle

HARALD HARDRAD.

He won a bumper at the same track last time out and did it in good style, too, beating Bold Getaway by 11 lengths. If he hurdles fluently then he can win again.
