Further progess looks likely for Invictus

ANNUAL INVICTUS (12.55) was unlucky to bump into Faivoir on his chase debut at Uttoxeter in October and has won small field handicaps in two subsequent starts.

He only had one to beat at Plumpton last time but he did it in good style and Chris Gordon’s gelding has the scope for further progress in this sphere.

Gordon Elliott can land the novice hurdle with TOP BANDIT (11.15).

He opened his hurdles account at Cheltenham in October and took his form to a new high at Punchestown last time out, beating Sit Down Lucy by over two lengths.
